Relational Approach
Integrative Model Utilizing Evidence Based Techniques
Our connection to the world has a profound impact on our well being and functioning. Having trusting, balanced, healthy relationships is one of the key elements to a satisfying life. The therapuetic alliance you have with your therapist can work as a model for you in new ways of relating. Therapy is a safe space which you can practice new skills and then carry forward into your life to enrich the quality of relationships with your self and others.
Therapy moves through stages. To understand the present, first, we delve into the past to learn the origin of patterns of behavior, attachment, functioning, coping, and relating both productive and unproductive. Once these are identified and given acknowledgement, we move towards change by utilizing an integrative model through a relational approach using evidence based techniques from the following theories including CBT, DBT, TFCBT, IFS.

Evidence Based Treatment
Once therapuetic relationship has developed and an understanding of the past is acknowledged, we can target specific areas with CBT, DBT, TFCBT and other techniques while maintaining a Relational space.

What is Evidence Based Treatment?
Evidence Based Treatment utilizes techniques that have been backed by scientific studies and proven effective, not just in theory. Some Theories/Techniques work more effectively for specific diagnosis/issues. Some therapy models that are considered evidence based include:
CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, TF-CBT (Trauma Focused CBT), IFS (Internal Family Systems).

Relational Approach
Whole Integration Therapy works from a Relational approach to understand how your past is impacting your present. Past experiences and patterns of behavior may prevent individuals from forming healthy, functional relationships in the present. These unhealthy patterns within relationships with others can also be within one's own relationship with their self causing other psychological issues including anxiety, depression, mood instability, identity instability, addiction, suseptability to trauma and abuse. While it is beneficial to work beyond the past, we must know what we are working with. Once known, we move into targeted techniques that focus on boundary development, interpersonal skills, communication skills, challenging unhelpful thoughts, self esteem/self concept/self identity, secure attachment within the therapeutic relationship.
